High Court issues notice to Dhoni on swimming pool

RANCHI: The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday directed serving of notice to Team India captain M S Dhoni on his proposed swimming pool at Harmu housing colony here as its residents fear water scarcity because of it.Acting on a PIL filed by 40-odd residents on June 19, the Bench of Chief Justice M K Vinayagam gave the cricketer four weeks time to reply. The High Court also ordered a similar notice to Jharkhand government with the same time to reply. The petition, filed by the residents, alleged the proposed swimming pool of the star cricketer could create a shortage of water in the locality. The petitioners also sought to know from where the water for the pool would be sourced and whether there would be proper drainage.Dhoni received the plot from the state government two years ago.
